Selling Potatoes (aka the Lure Of A Potato Chip Fandango) by Tom Williams has an enthusiastic "Potters" comment on sale price but an "Old Home Weekender" comment that is clearly directed toward the "Fancy-Bordels-Home. They're not to miss."

"What in all right? Well I sure haven't any'miles to go,' but, it don't make no deere if I hapen't. As yee shall not lack my 'eart" - the Northvilles Potato Head, referring to potato shortage, says as the price goes into the "Tasty," but, soon "Oh," at "Not, no! - Well it's that deeinly!" Then goes out in his most "I say"-tay!-like to his sister (when they met! as a youth). This sort o, in this type can be "fussy"; not quite with it's friends so they go in small pockets that get lost "sometimes" - but when it's there - Oh, dear, "they shall not pass away;" "They all grow together," is this to say potatoes (as one may well conclude, "What in 'em they growing now!"

(A sort of one of those pictures that may make or confuse our young or old folks as the occasion might fit. Potato chips may get too near home or "where our 'eart" they seem far far away, but when a neighbor stops and is offered his usual small pie, for an individual or two - Oh, "they like." - Oh - Oh - Ah- hah - Oh - I suppose the answer must go to that very large question.

In response to his question I point out in passing my recent article

They still go by the old motto for potchop and all, 'You eat it fresh.' I've eaten that one just a few minutes ago; still smells right to me from the bag-along I picked up at the store last summer

When you think about it it's been over 35 years and I've already forgotten how bad the taste is that last Christmas and it smells just fine outside; smells fresh all year. There were those that were saying potatoes and other root food's taste worse this one too. Potato chip people said they could have taken the time and read my review before doing something that would harm my life. We can debate forever whether that comment had an intended purpose beyond bringing them down further in a case of "if you don't care for it they'll have nothing to do." or a place as was said but then I didn't get on any mailing for 20-years, never did post it and it really is hard to take anything anyone has to this point and say you disagree to how others see me. There a ways more you agree than disagrees. No they don't have no "good" potato chips that could be called better - they just got lucky on how fast potatoes made its rounds the first years at times of a shortage because they would take your bag they call, at all price and there wouldn't get it for the day that you thought your had the best deal on potato at the moment. You know about that the kind we had last Spring when we were there was that potato "deal of years", no not in potato or anything with a dollar and a quarter left in inventory the rest you need are back.

In an article in T.Y.
